What is the best Lp convention (state or national) you have ever been involved with.
I am looking for ideas for state conventions.I want to know what made you want to go to a state conventions. For people who have been incharge what did you do to make people get excited. Also what are some ideas to make sure you make money on your conventions.

There was something about the 2004 GA State convention that many seemed to enjoy. Maybe it was the Prez. candidates or the venue or maybe because of the great attendance. Remember we did the "Libertarian Day" at the state capitol on Friday. I think a social event on Sunday would be fun for all. A good way to get to know each other.
One issue I am concerned about is the Platform and bylaws committees. If anyone would like to see any chances, these issues need to be worked out in advanced of the convention. It seems year after year no one is interested in these changes until it makes it to the floor. I would like to see some discussion on this list about any needed changes. Can these committees send out an invitation to participate in this process? How can proposed changes be summited and to whom?
Another issue I would like to see address is... can we find convention sponsors in advance of the convention so that any funds raised will go directly into the bank?
Have we ever had a membership drive? Why can we not double our membership in 2008?
